New Recycling Guidelines

RECYCLING IS NOW MANDATORY IN DALLASTOWN BOROUGH (Ordinance 558, 6/9/2008)

Trash/Recycling Pickup Schedule:

Monday - Trash (3 bag max.) & Recycling are picked up

Thursday - Trash (3 bag max.) & One Large Item per week will be picked up on this day.

Holiday Collection Schedule

Garbage:

A three (3) trash bag maximum will be picked up from each residence per pick up day.

No construction materials, please.

What to do with Electronic Equipment:

  • Bring electronics to the Authority’s FREE RESIDENTIAL electronics recycling program EVERY Tuesday,Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the collection site located on Black Bridge Road in the parking area directly across the street from the York County Resource Recovery Center located at 2651 Black Bridge Road.
  •  Penn and Fairview Townships will also be conducting electronics recycling collection programs.  Both Penn and Fairview will accept electronics from all York County residents and offer weekday and Saturday collection hours.  Please call, or visit their web sites for times and locations: Penn Township, 717-637-1561,http://www.penntwp.com/, Fairview Township, 717-901-5200:http://twp.fairview.pa.us/.

The more we recycle, the more grant money we receive. Recycling helps to defer the cost of trash collection. Recyclables are picked up on Mondays. More detailed information about recycling is also available in the Borough Office lobby.

Any Borough or Water-Authority maintenance employee that would approach your home for any reason will have a visible I.D. and a Borough vehicle with them. Do not let anyone in your home without first verifying who they are.
